Campus Protocol Advising
Under the Distinguished Visitor Policy, the Protocol office provides guidance and assistance to campus units on interacting with both domestic and international dignitaries.

Equipment Loan
The Protocol Office can provide units with protocol equipment such as flags, flag poles or national anthems at no cost. Requests can be made by phone at (217) 265-4140 or by email at int-eng-prot@illinois.edu.

Education and Workshops
Scheduled and custom workshops are available to faculty, staff and students across campus, as well as outside organizations. Topics include: protocol practicies and principles, event management, and intercultural communication.

Travel Advising
The Protocol Office can provide faculty, staff and students who are planning to travel abroad with valuable country and cultural information.

International Engagement Internship
International Programs and Studies offers a one-semester unpaid Spring internship to students interested in international communication, protocol and formal event planning.
